Job Overview

Our client, based in North Vancouver and offering programs across Canada, is seeking a Homestay Administrator who will support the work of their homestay division in Western Canada. The division provides international students with excellent homestay experiences during their time in Canada. The homestay administrator co-ordinates all homestay requests, communicating and collaborating with other company departments when homestay services are required. Work is executed in-office (North Vancouver) with occasional travel to various communities across BC and Alberta.

Benefits

The salary ranges from $42,000 - $45,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience. The organization offers competitive benefits, on-the-job training, cross training, a supportive team environment, and flexible work schedules.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will posses excellent language skills; excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and social media; two to three years' experience in an office or as an administrator; the ability to develop positive relationships and rapport with host families; the ability to deal with crisis and conflict in a professional, pragmatic and positive manner; post-secondary education in a related field of study; and experience with public speaking. They must possess a valid drivers licence and eligibility to rent a vehicle. Experience as a homestay coordinator or administrator is preferred.

Additional Details

Responsibilities will include, preparation of all student records, Submitting to all relevant agencies employment statistics; recording all tuition, payments other payments; keeping records of student attendance and progress reports; managing student loans from Student Aid and other sources; developing, updating and submitting to relevant agencies policies and procedures of the College; preparing for all reports and other requirements for PTIB or other agencies; purchasing textbooks, laboratory and office equipment and supplies as required; maintaining facilities; assist with payroll; and, student graduation and other student services, as required.
