Our client, an accredited Canadian Offshore School (BC Program) located in Tai'an, China is seeking a Math Teacher. The school's campus houses about 4000 students within the Chinese public school program, and the Canadian (British Columbia certified) program operates as an annex of the larger program.
Monthly salary of CAD $5000, private accommodation, return air tickets, visa support and medical insurance benefits. There is a signing bonus and additional salary increase if teachers choose to return for the 2018-2019 academic year after the summer break.
Certified K-12 Canadian teachers are preferred, but the school will consider teachers from other countries (native English speakers or able to achieve 7.5 on IELTS) who have an Education degree and have at least 2 years of teaching experience (BC eligible). Candidates should be serious teaching professionals who are high energy, motivated, culturally sensitive and have a desire to work in a diverse environment. All classes are taught in English and experience teaching ELL (ESL) learners is preferred. A minimum of 2 recent professional references are required.
The school year operates from September to June, with a major break of 3-4 weeks during the Chinese New Year period (late January-February). This position will begin just after the Chinese New Year break.
