Queen Margaret'/s School is accepting applications for the position of Digital Media Clerk. This is a part-time position, scheduled to work mornings five days per week between 8:00 am and 12:15 pm.
The Digital Media Clerk will support all aspects of digital outreach of the Communications Office, including digital layout and graphic design, social media messaging and distribution, photography, and general office and administrative tasks.

The duties and responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):
Assist in development, design and execution of school marketing and Development Office materials
Contribute to the school'/s social media presence
Take photographs of student life, as directed
Contribute to the writing, design and formatting of stakeholder communications, including handbooks
General office and administrative tasks
Curate the QMS photo library
Take an active part in all professional development duties, including staff meetings
Perform other duties as required
The following are requirements for this position:
Demonstrated proficiency in design software, such as InDesign, Adobe Suite or other graphic design programs
Demonstrated proficiency in social media applications, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Blog/WordPress
Strong writing and editing skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop relationships with a wide array of stakeholders, including students, parents, colleagues, and other QMS team members
Training and demonstrated proficiency in Windows Office 365 applications
Ability to manage multiple assignment and meet deadlines while responding to diverse and changing priorities
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a culturally responsive educational environment
Ability to work with limited supervision in a deadline-oriented work environment
Preference will be given to candidates who also have the following skills and qualifications:
Degree or diploma in graphic design, communications, journalism, public relations, or broadcasting
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in a language other than English
