Island Pacific School is looking for a creative, committed, and cool middle school teacher who:

  • understands and embraces the peculiarities and joys of working with middle school students
  • is passionate about teaching English, Design and Physical Education
  • knows their way around educational technology and wants to share their knowledge with others
  • loves hiking, rock-climbing, and kayaking with kids
  • knows what “Ultimate” is
  • wants a place to channel their inner musical and dramatic ability
  • has a good sense of humour and an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • can leap over buildings in a single bound (OK, maybe just over a cardboard box)

Island Pacific School is a grade 6-9 independent school that offers students a challenging academic program complemented by creative arts, outdoor pursuits, and community service activities. The school is located on Bowen Island in British Columbia, Canada and has been operating for just over 20 years. With only 65-72 students and a staff of 12, Island Pacific School is small by design, so we know our students well. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Education Degree (or higher) and a valid BC Teacher Certificate. Salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
