Our client, an accredited Canadian Offshore High School program located in Tai'an, China is seeking a Canadian Principal. The school's campus houses about 4000 students within the Chinese public school program and the Canadian (British Columbia-certified) program operates as an annex of the larger program.
Competitive monthly salary for 10 month commitment, private accommodation, return air tickets, visa support and medical insurance benefits. There is a signing bonus and additional salary increase if upon extending contract.
Canadian Certified Principals must have a Bachelor of Education from Canada and at least 4 years of administration experience at the high school level. The candidate must also apply for BC certification through Teacher Regulation Branch if their credentials are outside of British Columbia. Candidates should be serious academic professionals who are high energy, motivated, culturally sensitive and have a desire to work in a diverse environment. All classes are taught in English and experience teaching ELL (ESL) learners is preferred. Minimum of 2 recent professional references are required.
The school year operates from September to June, with a major break of 3-4 weeks during the Chinese New Year period (late January-February). This position will begin just after the Chinese New Year break.
Canada Shandong Secondary School is a certified BC Offshore School in Shandong China in the city of Tai'an. It is sanctioned by the Ministry of Education, in British Columbia, Canada and is required to undergo annual inspections as outlined in The Offshore School British Columbia Certification Status Agreement. Shandong Taishan Middle School is proud to have, a program (Canada Shandong Secondary School) which offers some of its students the opportunity to take courses recognized by the British Columbia Ministry of Education. This will allow them the opportunity to study abroad, in Canada, following their secondary school education.
